How do I clear the cache on my console?
Clearing your cache is a great starting point when troubleshooting issues with your console. Please see the steps below for how to clear your cache on each console.
PlayStation 4
- Completely shut your console off
- Once the console is completely off, unplug the power cord from the back of the console and let sit for ~5 minutes
- Plug the power cord back into the console and power it on. Re-launch Destiny
PlayStation 3
- Completely shut your console off
- Once the console is completely off, unplug the power cord from the back of the console and let sit for ~5 minutes
- Plug the power cord back into the console and power it on. Re-launch Destiny
Xbox One
- Completely shut your console off
- Go to Settings
- Go to Power & startup
- Press Turn Xbox off
- Once the console is completely off, unplug the power cord from the back of the console and let sit for ~5 minutes
- Power the console on and re-launch Destiny
Please be aware that if you have enabled "Instant-On" your console may not power down completely when selecting "Turn Xbox Off." See the Xbox.com Power Options page for more info on switching to Energy-saving Mode.
Xbox 360
- Completely shut your console off
- Once the console is completely off, unplug the power cord from the back of the console and let sit for ~5 minutes
- Plug the power cord back into the console and power it on. Re-launch Destiny
