How to manually update Destiny
If you're having issues installing the latest Destiny update, you may need to install the update directly from the Playstation XMB or Xbox Dashboard.
The game is ready to play once the update finishes installing.
PlayStation 4:
- Press the PS button located on your controller to return to the Playstation XMB.
- Press up on the D-pad and navigate to the Notifications menu.
- Click on Downloads.
• Press X on the “Destiny Update File" icon.• Press X to Update Now.• The update will begin automatically.
PlayStation 3:
- Reboot the console to return to the Playstation XMB.
- Navigate to the Destiny icon under the "Game" tab.
- Press the Triangle button.
• Navigate to the "Check for Update" option.• Press X.• The update process will begin automatically.
The game is ready to play once the update finishes installing.
Xbox One:

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you may need to re-install Destiny.
