I can't see my Devouring Essence timer
Players are reporting that they are unable to see the timer for
Devouring Essence during the Prison of Elders Skolas encounter.
This is caused by having five or more active modifiers applied to your character at a single time.
If your screen takes on a green tint, you possess the Devouring Essence.
Even though you cannot see the countdown, Devouring Essence activates a 30-second timer which ends with the player's death unless the Devouring Essence is taken by another player.
There are many combinations of modifiers that could cause this. The most common situation is wearing armor that grants statistic increases in conjunction with buffs applied by a Ward of Dawn .
