Slipped on that damn puddle in the tower -

Before I begin, I would like to say this isn't my video (the person who discovered this is Bradley Freakin, and this is his video), but stick around because what you're about to see will astound you.
So, we all know that Bungie said that the King's Fall raid would not end with "hard mode" (a.k.a there will most probably be another difficulty).
In the video, a new location in the raid is discovered - most likely an upcoming location in the new raid difficulty that is rumoured to be on its way.
You'll notice that it's almost identical to the ship jumping puzzle in the vanilla raid, with a few tweaks to aesthetics. This hints that maybe the new difficult isn't just a harder version of the raid - maybe the whole raid changes.
We all know Bungie have said the basketball arena was just an Easter egg, but do you honestly believe that? I mean, to go to the effort to add something like that into the raid, and make it a trek to get there in the first place, must mean that it had a purpose. Could it be related to this new area and/or the new raid difficulty?
At the end of the video, a MAC cannon is also discovered hidden underground. Firstly, what's it doing on the Dreadnaught? And secondly, what's it doing underground?
So many questions, so little answers. What do you guys think? Share your thought in the comments below, and don't forget to upvote and bump for the whole community to lay eyes upon this post!

Most of that just looks like unloaded areas already in the raid, that's a pretty common thing. You just went a different way into it, not through the loading zone. Because whenever you go to a different part of the raid, it shows your team load into a different area, either below or above the area you were in. Most likely to save space. Crota's End did this with the transition areas. But VoG didn't because it was fully laid out as it was the first, except for the Atheon arena. But still, nice. The Cannon is interesting. -

10/26/2015 9:54:02 PM PermalinkRemember when they said there was more secrets in the VoG, but really wasn't. Or when they said there was more content for HoW, but they ended up killing the queen in a different DLC. Or how for 3 months we had a different article from almost every site saying how amazing the Sleeper quest would be, and some went so far as to say the CE had a clue to it, but none of it ended up being what we really needed to do. I think you all see where I'm going with this. -

10/26/2015 10:50:42 PM PermalinkWhile pretty neat, they look like they're just extra resources/builds that weren't used. The MAC is probably something they were playing around with but tucked away. If you believe the Kotaku article, then you'd know that the toolset to work on Destiny absolutely sucks so it would probably be easier to tuck things away than delete them. -

10/26/2015 10:48:05 PM PermalinkI must say the grind of destiny to lvl up even armor is a b*tch. I have to friggin lvl up my gauntlets with different reload perks. Not only to lvl up the light on them too. It's artificial b's. If we get a gun or armor it should just work with all perks ready. -

I mean if it was there just for shits n giggles then why is it such a task to activate the lamps n everything to access it. If I created an area like that for people to mess about in, I would make it so you could just walk right into it, no bs gimmicks or anything. -

The Architects
10/26/2015 7:25:44 PM Permalink⚔TheArchitects⚔ - 10/22/2015 12:44:12 PMI just wrote this on the other thread made by the guy who found this
Also, if you go to where you first see Oryx come up and go to the ledge, look down and across that chasm. There's a huge door that looks exactly like the one you went through to get to the jumping puzzle area thingy. I've been thinking for a long time that the raid extends past Oryx. Their comments about heroic mode, the door at the bottom of the chasm, the way the screen edges turn as you jump off that ledge before you die. I'm certain that it goes into there. Also, the jumping puzzle area you found was the jumping puzzle. A lot of areas that you can only go into during missions change when they aren't being used for a mission but you're there. I know this because I glitch into areas a lot (never thought to do anything in the raid though, I'll explore some more later). This happens with strike areas, Crotas end, and crucible maps. Anyway, the mission changes when you get to the next raid checkpoint. It makes all the textures and walls go back to hat they would be if aces see in patrol. So, they said they made heroic mode first and then scaled it to normal/hard so what you see is about what it's gonna look like in hard mode. When you get into that area and stand at the door, that's the same door that you see after the swinging giant lamp things. What's probably gonna happen is that those lamps will be gone and you'll have to use a tomb ship to get across with some weird small mechanic to get through. The jumping puzzle area is just the version without all the textures and wall placements you see in normal and hard mode. That cannon thing, I have no idea why that's there, probably a heroic mode thing or just a random area there for no reason; there's a lot of those in this game. Back to my idea of the part after oryx, the war priest area is right above golgoroths cellar, golgoroth is forward from that, the dick wall is forward from golgoroth and to the right, and oryxs throne area is above and to the right of that. This means that oryx is above and far in front of the war priest. So, if you go in the direction of oryx from that glitch and down, you'll be on the same level as the door at the bottom of the chasm where the raid will continue. That's where the interesting stuff would be. If we can get there from this glitch, I don't know but whatever's down there is whatever's gonna be at the end of heroic mode. TL;DR, The jumping puzzle you found is the jumping puzzle, the real end of the raid is in the chasm where oryx emerges from.
-
