Clearly what you failed to understand is that you did not enter through the front door, but the back. The door is located on the back of the room, hence it is the back door. Your teacher was right to send you to the principal's office. Hopefully they demoted you a grade so you would have the extra time you need to catch up to the rest of your class, all of whom seem to know how to point the right direction when asked.
